Another Rose?

I've been struggling with the processing these days but thought I would post for those who would like to comment. Probably too much red as usual. Tried some Halpha with a Baader 7nm filter but found the resultant too noisy to blend with the colour images. Think I might be going backwards - maybe time for a rest.

Anyway:

Tak Sky 90 & Reducer
Canon 450D Hutech Modded with a LPS-V3 filter
PHD Guiding with QHY5
16X10min @ ISO 800 ICNR
Stacked in Nebulousity
Processed in PS CS3

Thanks for looking.

Craig

Lovely FOV and great guiding.

You are probably dissapointed at the noise you must have had even after 160min but I guess an uncooled camera in this season is hard to tame in this respect? You ahve revealed pretty much the whole extent of the rose.

Overall I think the image is quite pleasing, nice!

Craig,
You have done really well with this image, captured and portrayed just nicely! I would undoubtedly be 'chuffed' if I could produce something close to this.

Great work
Paul

Thanks for the encouragement and comments Marc and Paul. Mike, yes, battled with the noise - maybe overcooked everything - wish it could have been sharper as well. Maybe I'll have another go at the processing.

Thanks Doug and Louie. I just reprocessed it to see if I could get some more detail and less noise. Think it is a little better - jpeg is a bit noisy as well. Might have to wait for colder nights.

We've got to get us some cooled DSLRs Craig!!??
Beautiful image - nebular detail is a sweet, but the stars are lovely and sharp too.

Thanks Tommy and Trevor.

Doug, a cooled DSLR would be good or maybe a QHY8 but I'm still in the city so a limited in light polution and clear air unlike Hahndorf.

Must try the Witch again soon. Something blue.
