Dome observatory plans.

Apologies if this has been posted before.

Don't know about you but h0ughy buying that nice sirius dome has made me very restless. I was doing some googling (it's amazing what you turn up when you search for "landscaping around an astronomical observatory ") and I found some plans for a nice DIY dome. Pictures and description here.

The lower part of the OBS shown is fairly basic bit some creativity could result in a nice rounded lower section. The main thing is that there are plans for the construction of the dome and it looks like something Dennis could knock up for all of us...

Phil I think Houghy's ruffled a few feathers and made us all envious with his scoop purchase !

I'm looking for a nice dome design myself, thanks for the link, which seems to work for us mere mortals.

Link was working but yes I have saved it, I didn't want to let that one get away, the dome is rather nice, despite being DIY. The error message says the link is only temporarily down, if not I have a copy and can upload the images and PDF plans.

Hey RB you can claim yours for a business expense for advertising - the good egg Dome! What a way to advertise the farm mate. ballana has the raw prawn, rockhampton the big bull, tamworth the giant guitar - MM will have the Giant Egg What came first the chicken or the egg? Sorry the dome sorta does that to you Give the door stop a home - use your slab with a 3.5m dome
