Thumbs up My first false colour Venus

Taken around 6.45pm local (Brisbane) time.

This is my first ever attempt at false colour imaging of Venus.

Seeing wasn't very co-operative, but I'm happy to have acheived this result, with cloud details clearly visible.

A nice way to sign off for 2008.

Usual set-up: C9.25, DMK21AF04, Astrodon filters, 2.5x Powermate.

Image is a composite of IR (G) UV.

Thanks for looking.

Excellent shot Matt! I am amazed of the clarity of the image considering the seeing conditions you mentioned. There is definite cloud details as well.

Very well done.

Nice work Matt – your persistence and patience have certainly triumphed, despite the poor conditions Brisbane has sent our way the last few weeks.

Cheers
