I'm actually between jobs. Given the current economic cliimate it might be my last.

Until recently I worked as a Materials Scientist in the automotive industry. I graduated with an Applied Mathematics degree. The maths went far more into the theoretical side of General Relativity and Quantum Mechanics then the Physics course.

What's great about this forum is that is that I have had to re-educate myself, referring to stuff I forgot a long time ago.

I thought you knew a thing or two - me, i've just started on the astronomy 161 course - had to refer to trigonometry today cause i had no idea how to use it! Knew i should've listened at school, but i was too busy being cool

meanwhile here i am talking about quarks n stuff, but better late than never.

HEY ALEX!!

Check out science daily - they've found a good way to make anti-matter in the lab. More than 100 billion anti-particles by shooting a tiny piece of gold with a laser. A real boon for antimatter research.

cheers

Is that the price of anti matter or has the gold market jumped over night...
Funny I am at a mates place and we have been "playing" with his gold... we were going out today to get some more but the weather is turning bad again../
There is something about the stuff in the form we have it (small and grainy) in a vile that is so neat...
But it is great that around here you can still find it fairly easily.
It is like fishing you sometimes find a good spot.
