I think the images would be a lot better, if you resized them down to 800 pixels high, rather than heavily compressing the image and posting at high res.
Yeah. Peter_4059 and I started out ok and before we knew it it was 12:00 at night. Asked how each other felt - OK was the answer. 2:00am we still felt OK. 3:00am still ok and Peter asked if we wanted to make a total night of it so we went on til ~5:00-5:30am and then we started packing up in time to see the dawn and then drove home. Absolutely knackered and couldn't sleep as I was too tired. Slept like an electrocuted cat that night (according to my wife) and it took a few nights to get over it.
Had a great time and what was interesting was that the temperature stayed at about 15 degrees all night and therefore didn't have to touch the focus. The humidity started to creep up but then went down so didnt have to put on the dew heaters.
A great night with good company doing the same things. It doesn't get better - especially when you get home and find you hit all the targets and they are in focus with no throw away frames.
Still the wife thinks I'm nuts.
Allan, getting 8 good colour images in one night is stuff of dreams for us mono CCD users.
Some great efforts there, M42 looks good as do the HH and Crab.

The DSLR is a great opportunity to get into imaging, but I'm beginning to realise that I have to concentrate on one object and go as deep as possible with it to get the sort of definition that Im trying for. I've recently purchased a QHY8 before the dollar dropped and going to use this with my 10"SCT to pick small interesting galaxies and go as deep as I can with them. I'm afraid galaxies have taken a hold and there are quite a few I want to image before they put me in my box.
