NGC 6960 The Veil Nebula West In H Alpha

Hi All or Good day,

This is my first post on Ice in space great to be here looking forward to sharing my images with you so hello from Balbriggan in Dublin Ireland.

Here is an image from the 26&27th of September NGC 6960 the Veil Nebula west in H Alpha. It was quite misty witch just seemed to enhance the light pollution the sky was an orange glow. I managed to get 40x5min exposures Darks was 16x5Mins Transparency was about about 5 medium haze seeing was not bad about 6 out of 10.Total exposure was 200 Min So 3 Hrs 20 Mins.

That image certainly isn't a joke - Awesome work there mate.
Beautiful delicate nebulosity , I love it.

Lovely Veil - look forward to seeing more! I wonder, are clear nights in Ireland as rare as they are in Sydney these days?

That's a great image of the Veil, all that wispy nebulosity looks fantastic.

Hi Duog,

That is the thing it could be weeks or months before we get clear skies again as my fellow Scotsman will tell you weather Is crap up here most of the time. Through the whole summer we had 2 clear nights in 3 months. September has been better one other funny thing every time It's clear there seems to be a full moon hence all the H alpha work
