Hi everyone,
In a few months I'm joining a group of other senior high school students from around the country on a two week trip to NASA facilities at Houston and Cape Canaveral. As preperation, I'm required to read through an online module prepared by NASA about the history, current state and future direction of NASA, space science and space exploration. All together, the information is equivalent to a small book and provides a complete knowledgebank of information for anyone interested in aerospace and aeronautics.
If you're interested, you can access it all
here...
And if anyone has any doubts about the space industry, I found this as I was browsing through:
"for every dollar spent in the space program, studies have shown that the return investment here on Earth is approximately seven dollars. These dollars are represented in the form of new technologies, medical processes, technological advancements, and the development of new materials. The space program does indeed benefit people here on Earth!"
Enjoy!
