Interesting cosmology program on Disc Sci Chan

As much as I generally dislike the standard presentation of the Discovery Channel - I've just this morning stumbled upon a great show called "The Joao Magueijo Project". I'm not sure how many episodes he's made, and these may be the same as his "Big Bang" series under a different name for this market - in any case, it's good viewing. He's a bit of a renegade in physics circles.

Joao is a Portuguese cosmologist and professor in Theoretical Physics at Imperial College London who pioneered VSL (Variable Speed of Light) theory. This is a series of very well-presented television shows to convey his ideas on cosmology. He uses day to day parallels and metaphors to explain his theories and concepts of the mechanical universe.

Very interesting show indeed. It's a bit trippy, visually, but that's probably par for the course these days.
