A double sized Bug Nebula
Hi all
despite the near full moon (Ive put a pic of it taken tonight in the image) I had a go at imaging the Bug nebula with the 10 inch scope, but with a 2x converter in , so F ratio becomes f11, FL about 2700mm
http://www.users.on.net/~josiah/baader/Bug2xmoon.jpg
2 x 5 min ISO 1600 shots with 2x converter and Baader UHCS filter.

That was the hard part, it took me 1/2 hour just to FIND the bug nebula and take a short image to confirm I had it (without the 2x converter) I then added the converter, relocated the guide star and then took the pics
Moonlight was shining down the finderscope, making it a struggle

Thanks all
looks like the clouds may move in for a few days according to the forcast, at least its happening when the moon will be near full. Hope to do more imaging after that.

Howdy.
I actually have an image of NGC5189, though its unfiltered, taken last year
http://www.users.on.net/~josiah/temp/ngc5189.jpg
I should try a filtered shot of it though.
