GSO 10" Newt onto an EQ6 - Can it be done?

Has anyone attempted to mount a GSO 10" newt onto an EQ6? Was it difficult? Other than the mount, what other components did you require?

It has been done - not difficult - you need a dovetail bar and a pair of rings.

And three counterweights!

I see Andrews has GSO tube rings with 230mm and 303mm (internal) diameter available, for the 10" tube would I require somewhere in the order of 280mm rings?

The rings are 303 ID. The dovetail I have is 340 mm long and is a Vixen style dovetail. The reason for the larger rings is because the 10" GSO dob has a 12" tube - ie about 1" clear space around the mirror.

Bintel sell them, as does Andrews Communications. You need the 303mm ID ones though, as mentioned above. They are about $50 a set from either of those places IIRC.
