one thing I will say - it was nicely packed and was in two cartons, one inside the other, the scope was wrapped as too every other piece. that may be the difference between the bog standard scope and one spec-ed up for myastroshop Allan, and yes they look remarkably like Meade series 4000 - LOl i have a 15mm and 26mm Meade EP looking at their chinese cousins

First light, first light report please! Point it on a light pole, roof top, anything! Tell us how it performs!!

How do you find the mechanics? Focuser good?

Damn, a spending frenzy and I'm out in the cold. Dave, if you need an alibi you can say I loaned it to you, after all it's the least I could do after you loaned me an Eq6....

I'm absolutley hanging out to see some photos taken with these scopes to compare with those taken with mine. Perhaps we could do photos of the same object with the same equipment to make a direct comparison.

might not be exactly the same equipment but i will be using the 20D i recently got on it, on a eq6. What did you image again Allan? i remember Eta...... BUT I WANT SOME CLEAR SKIES
