If I was selling this like you seem to be, I'd definitely be opening it and making sure you were sending what the future owner thinks he/she is receiving.

That's why the option is left to the new owner, we'll most likely open it here together.

OK I couldnt help myself. This scope is just amazing on first glance. Blown me away - so far. The eyepieces look like the meade series 4000, the colour highlighting is the meade blue. I am stoked. It is top heavy for some reason LOL. The case is well made and sturdy. Mate for the $1130US I paid it is an absolute bargin!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bring on the clear skies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Slight differences between yours and mine so far David. My spotting scope is all aluminium with no paint. Anodised black ends. Reticule is graduated with central circle at the meeting of the cross-hairs. The diagonal is an anodised Meade blue. Also the draw tube is not anodised but straight aluminium.
Brings a rush of blood to the head when you open that case.

Hi allan,

Was yours one of the earliest batches? Or is it the AstroTech 127?

Top heavy is not a bad thing. After adding the diagonal, eyepieces, cameras, etc, it will be just nice.

Neither
Its a Prostar from Myastroshop. Do a search using dream scope and allan gould in this forum for photos. Looks more like the Astrotec 127mm than anything else - but there are differences.
David those eyepieces are an absolute dead ringer for the Meade 4000 series eyepieces. Now you now why these are being sold in Europe as Meade scopes.
