Mount EQ5 For sale. $380.*SOLD*

For sale EQ5 mount
With dual axis drives. Hand controller
Tripod (but this has slight crack in it see pic. Does not cause any problems except if you dismantle it)

Mount has been stripped re greased smoothed any rough edges. Drives very nicely.

Due to size and weight shipping will be costly but if buyer arranges a pick up I will pack it all up as best I can.
I will deliver locally in Melbourne.

Reason for sale is I have another mount!

That's a nice home brew pier.

I'm thinking of doing something similar for my old CG5 and for my Atlux. Did you make the legs yourself or buy them somewhere ?

I am thinking I might copy your design for my old CG5

Looks like a great deal for $400.
For a few extra $, someone can add a GPUSB & ST4 socket from Shoestring Astronomy for the hand controller, and have a fully motorised mount ready for Autoguiding.

Hi there,
Would your mount handle an 8" F5 Newt?
Regards

At a glance I would say this would easily out perform my new LXD 75 EQ mount with its 8" Schmidt Newtonian, and at a better price.
