Jupiter and the Milky Way

I took a pic of good old Jupiter strolling across the milky way backdrop. Here is a shot up close and a widefield. The wide was taken by the camera on its own, piggybacking on top of the scope using it's standard lens.

great pair of images! I like the framing of the 2nd one, with the dome visible. Good point of view.

Nice images Barry especially the second one. I like how the dome is visible.
