A few more solar prominences

Two attempts at imaging from March 9. Even at solar minimum the sun has something to show.

Nice pix Dave
What camera did you use and what mods did you do to the coronado to achieve focus?
Was reading a post earlier today about problems achieving focus with these solar scopes.
Regards
Steve

I'm using a DMK21AF04 on the Helios 1 with a 5X Powermate. I don't have to make any mods to achieve focus, as I think might have to be done with the PST. I just take out the diagonal and use an extension tube (the blocking filter is inside the scope rather than in the diagonal as in other Coronado scopes.

Wow David, they're exceptional. You're progressing very nicely now.

The image scale is huge!

Well done.

Beautiful images Dave, very well done. The images you are taking are amazing.

I wish I had a PST right about now...

Have you attempted to make a composite of the Sun yet?

Thanks all. I'd like to try a sun composite, Matty. I tried to do some disk shots to join with the prom shots, but I restarted the capture software and forgot to make sure the .avi was capturing in the right format. Doh. I'll wait for another weekend with clear skies and have another go.
