I know I'm late to this thread, but having just joined the 40D club I wanted to ask whether the camera was unmodded when you captured this image?

The camera is unmodded Matt

Having gained a bit more experience in PS than when I first started processing I was able to bring out more red and magenta than in the original subs by using colour balance and selective colour. The 40D definitely gives us more red than what we had with our Pentax ist DL.

The Eta image now on our webpage is a reworked version not the one at the beginning on this thread which we posted in February.

Here's the new one

Excellent Barb. Always good fun to revisit some old data with new and/or improved techniques. I like the contrasty details in the repro. Colours look great as well. Look forward to seeing more.
