I do most of the cooking here so try and make it as tasty as possible. Steak an Kidney Pie, Various curries and Asian dishes, Potatoe bake, planning some cauliflower cheese for tea tonight. Kym is official soupmaker, does it better than me

Happy Australia Day to All

Happy Australia Day to one and all.

Yep, a BBQ on this day is a bit of a tradition with us and the weather is looking great for one, blue skies as far as I can see.

I may even get the scope out afterwards for the first time in ages

Have a great day everyone

So that's why the wife suggested we fire up the barbie this arvo!

There are times, my good friends, when stupidity overtakes me.

Even though I'm not an 'Aussie' I really, really, should have known better.

Here, have a flag.

There's nothing like a bit of "me" time without the constant supervision that is SWMBO. Live on the edge, turn the music up loud and enjoy your beer and steak.

Good for you Duncan..
Being alone can be great because it really lets you relax.. sometimes we dont realise how up tight we get.. and living with someone creates intangible tentions to small to notice ..but they are there..so some time just for you to kick back relax and think about your plans and dreams is to be treasured.

You got that right Alex, a bit of time on your own lets you unwind and consider your own hopes and dreams. It also brings home the fact that you miss the absent other more (or less ) than you would have thought
