Those shots are not "cheap".. BTW, it is easy to produce excellent shots with k$. The real challenge and success it to do it for less than $100 :-)

G'day Bojan,
Thanks for the compliment. It was a tongue in cheek title as you may have guessed. No clear skies up here so i take what i can get,LOL.
I just need to make up a support for the camera to attach it for Afocal work. Cant do much with it other than moon shots as it is not sensitive enough.
But it has whet my appetite. Dont know thats a good thing,LOL plenty of dollars needed now.
Cheers,
Duncan

Did anyone say "cheap"?

You want cheap? I'm sure you'll recognise the crescent Moon and Venus, taken just before dawn on my recent trip north of the equator.

Taken with my "free" mobile phone obtained with my upgrade to NextG. It has a whole 1.3 Mega pixels, apparently! Sadly, I'm not quite resolving any craters.

But the landscape is still stunningly beautiful... craters or not :-)

..are those "afocal" shots- ie thru the EP (I'm new to all this)?
I've gone the other way.. dslr first, yet to get scope My first moonshot trial , just thru telephoto, wobbly cheap tripod and manual shutter release... for comparison. Your shots give me hope again, for when I get my scope
...my shot had me a lil discouraged. Had to crop it to upload size, but you can imagine the sea of black I had to remove.
