Centuarus A with Pentax DSLR

Imaged last night at the end of our session hence the small number of subs. Like to get more next time.

5 Light frames.........1 x 60sec 4 x 300sec ISO800 In camera darks

Pentax ist DL...........Processing DSS & PS CS2

Dave,

This is very good effort. Not over-cooked. Pristine round stars , colours natural, noise well suppressed.

I like it.

You might want to try more focal length, and go a bit deeper, but it's all heading in the right direction as far as I can tell.

P.S.
Though I don't use my *ist D often, I still like the way CCD based DSLR's render colours

Good to see you out imaging, the seeing was really good last night, its reflected in your image superb pinpoint stars and you can always add to the data with another session sometime soon.

Sure was a good night for imaging last night. One of the rare good Saturday nights. Needed to sleep in this morning

Wow, another fine example of Centaurus 'A'.
Beautiful detail!!!!!

That's 3 of us so far this year imaging 'A', and it's only the 14th day of the year
