A Moon Photo

Last night was a farce.
I was so excited that the clouds had parted that I rushed through all my preparations because I just knew I wouldn't last. (And it didn't.)
What ever could go wrong, did go wrong.
From flat batteries to not checking the resolution of the photos I was taking.
( I didn't have to compress the image to post it, that's how low quality it was)
But here it is anyway.
My first image in weeks and weeks.
Probably the last one for ages too.

Very nice, Jeanette

I wouldn't imagine the altitude would have been too great when you captured this?

I can't put my finger on it but I'm really drawn to this shot jjj.
I don't know whether it's because I find it eerie or it's just the colour itself but I like it !!!

You're right there.
It was low enough to start with, then I had to wait half and hour to get a bit of charge in the batteries.
Did you manage to get a look in before the clouds came over?

Thanks for the kind comment Andrew

I really like the colour in this image too Jeanette

It's suprisingly sharp as well. Better than any image I've taken of the Moon to date.

Yeah...just an eyeball view as it was sinking in the west....as I was getting set for a run on Mars over in NE.

I'm with the others, the colour is pleasing to the eye and the image scale makes it look as if we're close to the surface, excellent result.

Amazing image Jeanette.

I really like the colour and clarity in this image, it is almost like you can reach out and touch it. Very well done!

I didn't use a filter, just point, focus and shoot.
The gamma and saturation adjustments may have had something to do with it though. I upped the saturation to 15.

I agree with RB...I am not sure what it is, but I am also drawn to it.
