Premium & Exotic Equipment for Sale *Panoptic*

I have a dazzling array of equipment for sale, as follows:

(1) TeleVue Panoptic 22mm, perfect optically, cosmetically a bit challenged due to mark on the body, 68 degree field of view, 15mm eyerelief, works wonderfully in fast refractors and Newtonians. Works on 1.25'' and 2'' sizes. Goes for $465+shipping at BINTEL. I am ONLY selling this one because I picked up a 22mm Nagler type 4. $295 shipped anywhere in Australia.

SOLD

(2) TAL UWA 24mm 2'' made in Russia. 85+ degree field of view, 12mm eyerelief. RARE! These are no longer made. My first "spacewalk" eyepiece. Performs surprisingly well in fast scopes and sharp nearly to the edge, and contrast is nearly as good as the corresponding Nagler. $275 shipped in Aust.

(3) GSO Superview 15mm, new condition. 65 degree field of view, 15mm e.r. $55

(4) Celestron Axiom 19mm 1.25''. 70 degree fov, 10mm er, sells for $365 at York Optical. Wonderful medium-power wide-field eyepiece. $168 shipped.

(5) Circle "T" Erfle, 16mm, 1.25'', 60 degree fov, 12mm er, $80.

***New Zealand buyers***: Add 10% to price for new zealand dollars. You pay shipping, or alternatively, I can arrange for special pickup in Auckland (on 29/30 June) or Wellington (early to mid July).

Hi,
I'm interested in the Televue 22mm. You say that it is cosmetically challenged. Can you elaborate on what happened to it please?

Would this be good in a 10" Dob f/5?
I wish I could try one first but I don't know of anyone in my area that is interested in Astronomy

Plenty of croweater hanging around this place. Just put the word out and you'll get flooded with offers to come to some dark secluded space on the pretense of looking at eyepieces, but will actually be about checkin' out the size of each others scopes.

22 Panoptic

The eyepiece is cosmetically challenged in that there are a few marks on the body, mostly near the top, from impact. They were there when I bought it off the previous owner. The eyepiece is in perfect condition optically, ie no glass (optical) scratches.

The 22 Panoptic works wonderfully on a f/5 reflector or refractor. You only get that with Tele Vue and Pentax XL eyepieces. Other "budget wide fields" will have coma or astigmatism at the edges. The apparent field of view is 68 degrees. This eyepiece works in both a 1 1/4'' and a 2'' focusser so you can get to use it in your little refractor if you want.

Please e-mail me on cche11@student.monash.edu.au if you are interested in purchasing this ep.
