Airbrushed Space.

I was playing around with photoshop and randomly clicking tools, when I discovered the airbrush function......WOW!...I love this thing! I spent half an hour blowing paint all over this square thing in front of me and this is the result....

There is an airbrush button in the toolbox, or just press A.

Hmmm, focus is a bit out! Try a longer exposure to bring the neb out more.

It's the Baz Nebula remnant

IMHO All photo's touched by Photoshop or any other image enhancer is a fake image (in fact, that's exactly what it is by defintion), which of course is most images. this is precisely why I dont bother with imaging, I'm an old fashioned astronomer, I like to see what the object looks like not what the imager imagines it to be.

Before you all go crook at me, this comment is not designed to offend, just my opinion FWIW.

Cheers. Dennis.

That's OK Dennis, I think we can all totally understand where you are coming from in that regard and most would agree with you to some extent.

Looking through the telescope or through the eyes of the camera are two different fields, but I still very much appreciate the tremendous skill and effort of the capture of light and detail in an image.

Thats not to discredit artists, whos have just as much skills composing an image with inks and dyes on a canvas.

Both are forms of very skilled art IMHO and I for one, enjoy both. Can't wait to have another crack tonight during this thunderstorm.

Baz.

Good colors and I like the Glob in it.
Great for a hours exposure!
in the process of making up one,
another hour or two work and it will be done!
I won`t get into that can of worms Dennis!
