Snake Valley Astro Camp 'Deep Sky' Toucam Images

Apart from having a great time at the Snake Valley Astronomy Camp, I also managed to get some images that I am very happy with.

My GoTo's were playing up (wet connections), but I persisted to get these images.

All taken with the Modified Toucam 840k, 0.6x Focal Reducer, ED80 on EQ6 and Autoguided. Stacked in Registax and processed in PhotoShop CS.

1. NGC253
2. The Spider guarding the Diamonds
3. Flame Nebula
4. Orion Nebula
5. M101 Pinwheel Galaxy

Thanks Mike.
M101 was down pretty low and it is the 1st time I've imaged it.

I also imaged Andromeda, but due to the small FOV of the Toucam, and the enormous size of Andromeda, all I got was a massive close-up of the core!!!!!
It was a yellow blob that took up about 90% of the screen!

Yeah, when I wasn't around the camp annoying everyone else, or complaining about innaccurate GoTo's, I managed to get some imaging done

You may also notice the small size of the images. That is because they are all cropped. I had to place the objects in the lower right corner of the FOV to avoid as much Amp Glow as possible
The original full frames are ghastly!!!!

Thanks Daniel

Steve (Janoskiss) had a bit of fun processing the one of my Orion Neb. When I find where I saved it, I'll post in in here.

I think he is a leftover from the 60's by the colours in the processing
