NGC 253 and NGC 288

Had some time before my intended target was visible so I had a shot at these while they were close to the zenith.

Large Image 1.2 MB
http://members.optusnet.com.au/~trlee8/ngc253_288.jpg

Details
Canon 5DH, Canon 300mm F 2.8L at f/2.8, Hutech LPS filter. ISO 500, exp 1, 2, 4 min. Processed with IP, RGstar and Easyhdr.

Then the thin cloud arrived.

Lovely widefield, Bert. They just hang out there in deep space. I enjoy catching these two in the same FOV.. Your FOV is just considerably larger with the larger chip on the 5D and the shorter focal length lens

That massive FOV is stunning. The detail is amazing given what a small portion of the image the objects occupy.

Nice shot of that pair Bert.

Where did you get the Hutech LPS from and how much ? Is it a 2inch ?

Cheers
