I think I spend 2 hours on it brought back memories of my Engineering open book exams. You could take any book you wanted and still struggle. Couple of them really tested my goggling skills. But the answers are out there. Surprisingly some i knew the answers to but most where goggled. Overall a lot of fun and i learned quiet a few things.

And oh yes a great set of prizes, thanks to the sponsors. Thanks to Mike and others who put it all together.

Regards

It's been on my 'to do' list for a couple of weeks. Finally got to it today while fending off attention-seeking children. I'm surprised to see the low number of entrants too. I imagine the number will go up a lot before the close.

So how much time is left? I can't see it because I am on my iPhone and the iPhone doesn't have flash or javascript, so it doesn't load.

Great quiz Mike, Dennis & others. Well done!

Mike - may I ask when the answers and individuals' results are to be posted so that we can see how we did? Hopefully well before the draw...

Cheers
Chris

9 hours 30 minutes to go, exactly (as of 07:30 am AEST)

And I see Patrick Moore's 'Sky at Night' forum is boasting "Now with over 1600 members!".

It's all automated now. After 5pm tonight, when you go back to the quiz page, your results (and the correct answers) will be shown.

I expect (through experience of doing several of these quizes) that some people will want to challenge an answer, and more references or explanations may need to be provided.

In some cases, where an answer was ambiguous or multiple correct answers could be found, ALL people would be marked correct for that question.

It's also a good time to remind people that the quiz is for fun! The quiz masters (Dennis, Paul and myself) did the best we could to come up with interesting questions with unambiguous answers, but that's not always possible and the internet is a big place

Good reminder.

In the last week I've had far too many situations where I just wish people weren't so damn serious and nervous about everything and would just lighten up a little!

I got 28/30... one was a typo - I just selected the wrong answer! The other one was one I thought I knew and didn't bother to check properly

Still good fun though!

Al.
