24/09/07 Who's viewing tonight?
I don't know about the rest of Australia but it is a beeauutiful night here in my backyard on the Sunshine Coast (mossies are a bit fresh though). Its a balmy 17.7 deg with hardly a breath of wind and not a cloud to be seen anywhere. There is a glorious moon beaming down atm so it looks as though there will be no long exposuring tonight . Still I wouldn't be inside for quids. Might test a few bits of equipment or maybe even catch a moonbeam or to tonight.....What's everyone else up to tonight?

was the usual Melbourne stratocumulus deck until about 7:30pm when all the crud finally cleared. Now it's clear with bright moonlight.

A bit close to the moon for an easy find tonight I'd say. I've found them both recently for the first time. Uranus is nice because I can resolve a clear disc and make out a bit of colour, but neptune is a bit harder and I can only just make a fuzzy disc out of it. Neither was too hard to find even with a Dob.
Clear here, been moon watching. Superb detail in my new 6 mm LV, pity about the wobbly backdrop effect though!

It is a fantastic night here Paul.
I have the DSI out there doing its thing (well, I'm trying anyway).
The first run of images was a total disaster, but I am still going.
It is rather cold though. The digital thermometer says 1.3c

I've been at a Photography Club meeting tonight. You should see some of the cameras, and the lenses!!!!!!!!!!!
But the scope should be cooled by now and I'm just about to go outside myself.
A gorgeous night.
