I like the M45 shot but I don't think I'll be trying to image at this place called Duckadang. You lost two images, and they kept banging into the mount all night? Why, it sounds like it would be easier to image on the footpath among all the shoppers downtown in Pitt St. Sydney. Images would tend to acquire a bit of noise when there's a steady stream of pedestrians queuing up to elbow and kick the mount. How were they so unerringly accurate in the dark? They must have had night vision devices to zero in like that. Was this a martial arts festival? Is that a pic of one of them warming up to get stuck in? Fit looking blighters, heh? You need to dig a moat around the mount to keep them at bay.
I really like the shot as I know you stayed up late to get it. Great nebulosity and detail. Just hope it wasn't me that kicked your mount.
Good to meet you at last
that other shot was but a mere bump, this was the one that made me cringe and have to re polar align and check the setup!!!!! It was in auto mode and I walked away for a few minutes to stretch and have a chat, didn't even know it happened until I lost alignment - took 20 mintues to realise this of course - then took 3 hours to rectify

very nice houghy, i really like your deep sky stuff
Thanks David,
I'd really love to like it too but it is frustrating the Cr@p out of me that I should have had tight focus and controlled the autoguiding earlier than I did. I will get on top of this one day..........
Here is another reprocess a bit better than the one above
another tweak plus I found something within the image? Any Idea on what it could have been - it was through all the images over the 105 minutes the images were taken from 2.48am through until 5am 11 August 2007
