Practise Moon shot 30-07-07

I'm a bit rusty but managed to take a reasonable image this evening of near full moon at prime focus with my Tak SKY-90/400D/Porta mount. I should have used a filter but was just too lazy, it is pretty cold up in the mountains tonight and the warm fire was beckoning me to come inside, what can you say

That's excellent Steve, a very nice shot. The equipment you use is perfect for a full disc shot.

Perhaps a tad overexposed around Tycho - make sure you check the histogram with your 400D after the shot, or shoot it in RAW and use post-processing to reduce the exposure if you accidently overexpose (slightly).

Very nice result!
