Venus w/12.5" SPC900 & W47 filter

Shot of Venus this evening with a Wratten 47 filter, SPC900 webcam and 5 x Powermate in average conditions.

Tough object to get detail on, so really admire those that do. Really in desperate need of an IR Block filter to be used in combo with the W47 to isolate the UV area.

Processed with the new version of Astra Image (3.0) best of 200 frames.

John.

Very nice John. Not seen such a sharp limb on Venus before - well done.

Cheers

What a great Venus image! Wish the new filter can help to show more cloud feature on this hot planet.
