WHAT LUCK, the clouds parted this afternoon just in time to get a view of this spectacle. AND its very cold too. didn't get to see the final bit when Saturn was very close to the moon, but I have at least seen something.
OK canon 400D very standard on a tripod trying hard not to wobble in the breeze, sigma 18-125mm lens and no bulb, just the timer function. the first couple were handheld, as I couldn't believe my luck
Nice work Dave - driving home I saw some clear skies to the north and saw the sun for the first time in weeks. It didn't last long.
yep your not wrong there. by the time I bathed the kids and got dinner ready with the wife, the cloud came back over. man it is cold though I was going to try for another shot when it got darker. Well lucky I got to see it at all really
thanks Roger and Andrew. I was so excited I saw anything I tried heaps of settings. there was some high and low cloud though that tended to bloat the images.
i have being hanging out for some classic houghy widefields
yes we have been yearning for the heavens. Even almost completely missed out on the current STS mission. Bet the bloody thing lands before I can sneak a shot of it orbiting!!!!!
