Here's a few images captured in good seeing on Saturday night, between 6:30pm and 7:30pm.
Unfortunately I was on a time limit, as my wife was waiting inside. I could've been out there capturing for another hour or two more - there was plenty of available targets and the seeing was quite nice.
But I did need a break too, I was going out for Jupiter later that night and Mars the next morning.
Captured for 1 minute each, 30fps (1/30s exposure). Approx 400-500 frames stacked on each alignment point.
From left to right:
1. Alpine Valley
2. Copernicus
3. Hadley Rille (Apollo 15 landing site)
4. Plato
5. South Pole area
6. Tycho
Ahh, I never tire of seeing images of the Moon, especially when they are this good.
I particularly like the Hadley Rille image, the historical connection with Apollo 15 adds extra substance to the simple visual pleasure of seeing these fine hi-res images.
Glad to see you are managing to maintain the delicate balance betwixt heavenly pursuits and earthly duties!
