Last night

Well last night set up the scope, nice and clear night, ready to do some imaging. Went through my usual practice of finding focus once the scope was aligned. And then made the fatal mistake of not removing the focusing mask from the scope. When I was taking the shots I was wondering why my LPI was not able to keep lock on the guide star I had selected. It would track for a while and then just drift off and on top of this my shots did not seem as bright. Two hours later and I discovered the source of the problem after I had taken 16 shots.

So being utterly annoyed with myself I tried in vain to get some more shots of my targets only to find that the scope was now not in sharp focus.

Just was not my night

maybe another night will be.

Paul
