Jupiter in UV, IR, methane absorption false colour.
I combined a UV image (as red), a near IR image (as green) and a methane absorption band image (as blue) into a false colour image of Jupiter.
It shows, simultaneously, the appearance of features in these three wavelength bands. The GRS appears blue since it is extremely bright in the methane band (which is the blue channel). The NTB white spot outbreak is bright in all wavelengths.
I think you asked what filter wheel I got. I decided on the True Tech supaslim 8 position wheel. I knew I would be using a variety of filters and 8 positions might not be enough. This wheel also has a quick release feature which means I can change the actual filter holder with the device still attached to the telescope and camera. It also has a low profile which means I didn't have to move my primary mirror. The software integrates into lucam recorder as well so using it is very streamlined with the camera software.
