Sombrero M104

Here is a non processed image straight out of the 350D. If anyone would like to process it. It would be interesting to see the results. It's only a 900x600 web image but go for it and post your efforts in this thread.

Very nice, I dont have PS on this computer, so can someone put in a despeckle to Ezy's version and see what happens?

I'll send a 1.5Mb version to your hotmail Eric. As you would know full res is around 22Mb so I won't send that.

That M104 shot riminds me of what I see at the eyepiece in a small scope steve,well done and try for more exposures and some curves in PS and you'll do well.

The image was posted for others to process, it is straight out of the camera as intended.

I had a go at Orion. There's a strong cast over the centre of the field (gradiant?) that I couldn't get rid of. The DSLR cameras are great though.

That's good Dan. There was a fair bit of high misty cloud around that night which later became total wash out so that may have caused the cast you speak of. I haven't processed this image at all so hadn't noticed anything on original shot. Hope you enjoyed having a crack at it. Thanks for participating.
