Lyrids Meteor Shower

Looks like we will be in a good position to view & perhaps do a count on this shower from up here, we are having our first "Astrocamp" for the year this Friday & Saturday nights

The Lyrids peak on Sunday Morning.
I just know there is someone on here from the ASV meteor section !

Well here it is, one year on & I have missed the peak of the Lyrids
Did anyone see anything, anywhere in the world ?
I will have a bit of a peek in the morning to see if there are a few strays !
Would love to hear from you.

Hi Ian, I got automated meteor detection set up but it has been wall-to-wall cloud here in Sydney for about week now.

yeah there were a few strays last night / this morning between 11:50 and 4am. nothing excessively brilliant, but maybe 6 or 7 in that time frame that I saw.

2 nights ago I spotted a fair fireball go screaming through the sky.. so bright it caught my attention when I was looking the other direction...
