Thanks! I took your advice and e-mailed the animated gif to Dr Tony Phillips at SpaceWeather only a couple of hours ago! Must be waking up time in the old US of A.

Thanks guys – I have received several e-mails from American viewers about the “flashing” or “pulsating” stars in the movie. I think this effect is the result of the occasional, thin, high cloud that kept passing through during the session, dimming the field stars.
