Venus is getting closer.

NexStar8i + ToUcam Pro II + Orion Tri-mag + Moon-filter + IR/UV-cut.

Phase: 0,754. Diameter: 14,47". Altitude: 24,5 deg. Distance: 172,4 million km.

That looks really great.

Venus is one thing I never get to see much of through the scope because I don't usually get outside until the kids are in bed. If only it would stay up a bit later.

It always looks so mysterious all shrouded in cloud.

Clouds of Sulphuric Acid at that !
I see Venus each evening at the moment but it is too low to observe from my usual setup position. Might have a look with my little Meade 90mm Mak this evening.
