Registax 4 question

I'm using single alignment point processing in Registax 4.

Problem is: Jupiter is now getting larger than the 256 alignment box size option.

I don't seem to be able to use a larger alignment box (512).

Do I need to go to MAP?

Well if you cant use the 512 option you may be best to try the MAP function. Just try with 2 or 3, slightly overlapping alignment points first and see how it goes.

Ah...

So it's OK for some of Jove's considerable girth to spill outside of a single alignment box?

Thanks Ving. I wasn't aware of that. I always thought it was better to have some black sky around the outside to help with alignment etc

I often don't have any dark sky, I've had acceptable results with just a single feature inside the planet, using a 128px box.

However I do try to use multiple 128px boxes, and for the ones on the edge I leave just a little black sky on the inside of the box.
