No my camera is not modified as yet Ezy. Houghy, I was wondering what the red glow in the bottom was. I get it in any shots that are 5-6 mins or longer. I've just read the article by Eddie Trimarchi and I know what you mean by darks and flats now, but bias?

Many thanks. I saw M65 and M66 in my bins for the first time last night, now to go searching for 3628 as well.

Erick, can you attempt to describe what they looked like through your binoculars, I am yet to see something like this, so having a bit of an idea of what to expect will help

Make sure you are under dark skies (I was at Snake valley), then look for faint fuzzies at the right location . Sorry, Ron, I didn't have time to study what I saw. I actually fluked it. Pointed the red dot finder at the approximate location. looked through the binoculars and there they were, nicely in the field of view. I couldn't believe it. I'll try again at next dark sky opportunity - hopefully in the next week? Otherwise April.

Actually I think I know what you mean, but it's a leap of faith sometimes to know if it's what you think it is, or whether it's just your imagination
