The eq6 in this picture ;

perfect condition, version 3.1 controller. Comes with 3 counterweights & a 18 amp hour battery.
Preferably pickup - I can send interstate but i imagine it would be pretty pricey given the weight. approx 4-5 months old.
$1400
pm or call 0434 512 561. cheers

Bargain!
I'd love a pretty white one with a V3 hand controller.

Hi,
Is this mount Skywatcher EQ6 Skyscan GO-TO. Also i am a bit of a newbie so if it is what is the method of setting it up for a nights viewing; and would it take a BINTEL 12 inch Dob?
Phew, sorry for the long question

hi zuts. yes it is the Skywatcher EQ6 Skyscan GO-TO. I'd be happy to show you how to use it when picking it up.
I don't have a dob on it at the moment, but I know iceman here has a 12" dob on his.

Zuts, Mike (iceman) has done exactly that, mounted a 12" on the EQ6.

Heaps of questions
I am very tempted, but i probably need to go to Bintel tomorrow (Glebe) to ask things like.
(1) Height of eyepiece at various angles.
(2) Stability for a big DOB.
(3) Setup, size of goto database, can it be upgraded.
(4) How long can you take a photo for.
(5) Does it have PEC, PPEC.
(6) How awkward does the viewing angle get for a dob.
(7) What can go wrong and how much to fix.
and probably heaps more.
But since i was thinking of getting an argo navis, and since i assume you can select an object name and go to it?
Then this sounds good.
Dont know if you can help with the questions. If you pm me i could give you a landline number.
Thanks Paul

While I have a 12" newt on mine, it's not something I'd recommend for general visual observing. I use mine for planetary imaging.
A 10" newt is perfect for the EQ6, and I'd recommend putting one of those on it. It's lighter, shorter and will be easier to view through.
