Sword of Orion and m46

Hi all
some more 6 inch f3.6 schmidt newt images
Sword of Orion, 2x10 mins ISO 400, masked with 1x30 sec ISO200

M46 4x5 mins ISO400, moon now up. Note the Planetary Nebula NGC 2438. Note also the much fainter Planetary M1-18 over to the right side of image. Cropped centre part of image

Both images with UHCS filter, MPCC and modded 350D camera. Hand guided.

Excellent!! pity about the cloud cover later in the evening. the dew was bad last night too, and the dogtrack was fully lit. You did very well.

I had a cardboard dewshield on, and the light from the dog track didnt intrude here, though I could see it to the north
