Weird Virtual Dub output. Any Ideas?

I've been processing some Saturn avies I captured last night and there is something strange happening. Does anyone have any ideas.

The first frame below is a screen dump of a single frame from the avi and the second one is after converting the avi to bmps with Virtual dub. I've not experienced this before. Does anyone have any ideas on what is going on?

I don't know what the problem is, but perhaps it would be easy to fix by just reinstalling the program (or re-download, its quite a small program if I remember correctly). Maybe a cheap way of fixing a problem, but it might be easier than searching for some setting that might have been accidentally altered without your realisation?

Not sure I can see the difference? Make sure you have nothing enabled under "filters"?

Mike on my screen when I look at the screen dump of The Homunculus the nebulosity extends out 3-4 star distances each end of the star, in the VD on it appears only as a small halo around the star. The same applies to both the moon and Saturn shots, alot of "light" has been removed.

On another point, is it possible to run DMK raw avies through Registax without converting them to bmps first? I keep getting the message "Cannot decompress Avi"

You must have some filter enabled - try re-installing vdub.

You need to get the latest Registax 4. It can do the raw AVI's from the DMK no problems. Make sure you're using the Y800 codec when capturing.
