Took these on the 25th January - I think they're Mammatus Clouds? Anyone confirm?

They looked great, only lasted about 4 minutes.

I had to post this cheezy pic of the sydney opera house...I just missed the brilliant glow of the last rays of the sun lighting up these clouds from below (parking the car etc) - they looked a fantastic pink and orange/red as I raced down there, but I made this shot anyway, with a little point n shoot digital camera stuck on a big heavy tripod...

Hi friends,
just I’m back from a litle stroll around my ranch,
was up here on the highest rise,
( 6 m above parking place) have taken a fine cloudy sunset shot
and will post it for you immediately

and too a sunset from yesterday morning pictured from the same position
if you look thorough on the horizon,
you will discover the spire of the church in our small town.

Grüße von Ispom

Mare's tail cirrus

Classic 'mare's tail' cirrus clouds visible from Bodi around sunset on 11 Mar 2007.

Plain old Canon 300D with ordinary 18-55mm lens.

Black-and-white shots: contrast increased in PhotoShop.

Thought I might just throw this selection at you.
Was really scary being directly overhead.
Not much rain or much of anything came of them.Thank Goodness. L.
Taken on 4-1-2001.

This was on the first day after buying the new 400D. I just turned it on and let the camera do the work.

I'm officially a convert from 35mm.

Cloud formation exhibiting a bumpy appearance. These are common under the anvils of severe thunderstorm but can also be observed under altostratus

Just came across this photo in the dark recesses of my hard drive. It was taken last year in May from my back garden.

Springwood Sunset

This a view from my front porch which faces south, very tranquil. I hope nobody minds but I've slipped in three extra pics of clouds taken in my travels. One is Mt Piper power station near Lithgow (man made clouds perhaps), e-frog (also man made clouds) in Sydney some years ago and the building with the reflected clouds is at Circular Key (one of my all time favourite photos for some reason or other).
