Saturn from Dec 18th from Melbourne

May as well add to the growing number of Saturn images on IIS.

Processed another of my AVI's from the 18th. This time more frames stacked (700) and lower level of harshness on the processing side as well as reducing the image to 75% of the original to further reduce noise (taken with a 5 x Powemate).

Enjoy!

John.

Hi John

Very nice image, how did you manage to take it through all that smoke I saw in Melbourne on the news?

The green tinge (above the ring in your image) is quite extraordinary on all the Saturn images I have seen recently. What, with Robert’s red cap, I am looking forward to a very colourful Saturn season!

Cheers

Dennis

Hi Dennis,

there was no smoke over Melbourne on Monday morning when I took this image at 4am. Then it moved in mid morning and has been the same all week!
