First prime focus shot
This is my first ever prime focus shot taken through a scope , nothing flash but man its special ...frigging stoked .....if the moon was up i would be jumping with the cow

Some vignetting, but great bring out of the red. what settings did you use?

800iso, 2 min , jpeg and the nikon nr filter, just experimenting not following any set plan ....thanks Paul

Did you take a dark and subtract it? Wedge mounted or Alt/az? What was the nr filter?

Wedge , dark frame taken prior to session , the rest is automated through the camera.

Had to hurry with cloud coming in but managed to get some shots of M104 and NGC5139 , 104 with and without the focal reducer and Omega without . My tracking is off but wow what a great experiance .

Beren, how did you set the 2min exp on the D70. My D100 will do 30secs then its over to cable release

Well done Stuart, what a great start. Omega Centauri and Orion look great!
They could benefit from some longer exposures, or stacking of more shots of that length, but very very nice.

Stuart, nice start. All shots show great potential. All are nice and sharp also. Are you using the infra red remote or the cable remote? I noticed that you have a little stutter in the Omega shot and thought that vibration had not died down enough when you opened the shutter.
Also as has been suggested, stacking of more shots will produce better images.
Good stuff keep it up.

Hay Beran where they taken at Prime focus (at the focus of the main mirror eg fast star) or Cassegrain ( at the focuser of a SCT) ??
Just trying to get the terminology right.
