Here is a 3 pane composite of Sunspot 923 on 11th, 12th & 13th November 2006. Each image is a single raw frame from the avi of that day, no processing was applied due to the fragility of the “thin” data in each frame. And yes Mike, an animation will follow some time later!
Did you happen to get another one today? I was looking at it about 5:00pm today with the PST and it looked like the spot was splitting in 2... ...hard to tell... I'd say I was 75% sure the spot had divided - it was very close to the limitations of the PST I think (so of course there's a risk I talked myself into it!

Hi Al
No –didn’t manage to get out today and with storms predicted for tomorrow and it looks like my next session will be Thursday. Thanks for the heads up on the split.
Thanks Paul! I looked in the AVI animator for a function for fading one day's spot into the next, to avoid the sudden change between frames, but alas could not find such a feature.
I think I'll need solar filter glasses next time I catch up with you and Dennis, h0ughy. There's not much between the two of you when it comes to SW glory. .

Good onya Dennis. Love lookin' at your work mate.
Beg to differ on opinion there Paul, the Big Scope Coat wearing demon leaves me for dead , while I am just a meager bystander
If you're both nice to me, I just might dress up again in the telegizmo tripod smock and prance around the observing paddock to a green laser light show...
