M83 32hrs, planewave CDK 14

Messier 83 also known as the Southern Pinwheel Galaxy is a barred spiral galaxy approximately 15 million light-years away in the constellation Hydra. It is one of the closest and brightest barred spiral galaxies in the sky, making it visible with binoculars.

Wow that is just awesome Ben so crisp and loaded with millions of Stars and a few extra Galaxies thrown in for good measure, well done indeed.

Thanks Leon and Leo

I'm quite happy with the amount of detail I could get. Now comes the fun part of exploring other objects and see what I can pull from them.

Thanks Jason and Allan

I did spend quite a few days working on the image to get it to the point to where it is now.

I just wished seeing was a bit better when I took the images. I know during winter the jet steam is much stronger. My HFR was 2 on the good end, to almost 4 on the worse end.
