Haven't done any deep sky in ages....but seeing it is eagle season, seemed
like a bright and cheerful subject to get back on the bike with.

The high calibre data from the Alluna certainly helps (given the $A to Euro it was a shrewd purchase at the time...don't think I could afford it now)

I'll also fess up... fixing the magenta star halos was easily fixed... by removing the stars!

I've recently upgraded to a GTX5070 graphics card and 5K colour graded monitor. Coupled to RCAstro's Pixinsight AI suite, this has drastically reduced the time it takes me to play with various settings to get into a "Goldilocks" zone without taking an eternity to get just the right look.

Mapping SHO images is dealers choice, but I prefer blues, yellows greens over the pepperoni pizza palette that seems to be in vogue of late.

As I write, a massive wet weather system has moved in, hence the chance of grabbing RGB star data around a new moon looks to have been missed.

Most of July has been unusually clear with relatively stable skies and you’ve certainly taken that opportunity

Actually, no.

It's a brilliant tool when you have "slow" seeing. I dare say the RC16 plus AO
produces sharper data than many CDK20 efforts I have seen on the web.

No so good when the air starts to boil, (more often than not at its native 3200mm FL)....but thankfully July was indeed pretty stable.

Absolutely! I mage calibration is a joy with a CCD.

I still find CMOS to be difficult to totally nail down in that regard.
