Prominence!

With an east coast low, now developing off the eastern seaboard, the weather here is about to take a turn for the worst,
yet I managed to image this remarkable solar display during the breaks of ever increasing cloud cover.

Oddly the seeing between convective cloud (normally rubbish) was remarkably good.

Omg that's huge on all counts. Typical with the weather, a follow up tomorrow would be great Peter if you can. The rest of the week will be floating

Great image of the proms, they are / were large. Had a look at them this afternoon with the PST and they were impressive. Thanks for sharing the image.

Thanks gents. Magnificent blue sky morning today....and yes I have followed up that magnificent prom's progress.

I'm suspecting it will fade rather than lift off.
