Need help identifying equipment to sell.

Hi
My husband loves astronomy and has collected a large amount of equipment.
Unfortunately, he passed away last year and I now need to sell his larger scopes, binoculars, mirrors and other bits and pieces.
I know nothing about astronomy, but he showed me Halley's comet, the Trifid nebula, and many other objects.
So I need help to identify some items and then sell them. Now, time is limited.
He has a Skywatcher GOTO collapsible Dobsonian 16 inch, a 10 inch LXD-55, a 17.5 inch mirror in case, a large pair of binoculars, and containers of small stuff.
I am unsure what goes with what, so any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thankyou

Hi Helen. Sorry to hear about the loss of your husband. Was he a member of any local astro clubs , that you could contact for guidance with the gear. Regardless , maybe you could contact the Astronomical Society of South Australia, they may be able to help you with identifying and valuing.

Hi
Thank you for your condolences.
Bob was a member of ASSA on and off. I did contact them, and they suggested putting his items on this website or astrobuysell.
I donated lots of his books and magazines to the ASSA, as this is what he wanted.
They only take listings from members now.
I am going to take photos of everything today and will list them
Thankyou.

Hi Helen

You will need a minimum number of posts before you can start selling, I think 5.

Good luck

Philip

Large binoculars and tripod

Hi
Here is the first item that is easiest to take photos of. It is an AOE 25 x 100BBFMC Giant binoculars and heavy duty tripod suitable for large binoculars (item name HVT-11).
Bobbie bought these from a NSW Aquila Optical and electronics.
Unfortunately, I cannot find the keys to the case.
I am not sure how much he paid for this but it was in about 2008-2009.
Can you help with a price?
Thankyou
Helen

Lxd-55

This is Bobbie's Lxd-55 10 inch. He bought it in 2002-2004 (I think).
I do apologise if I haven't taken the best photos, but it is very hard to pose a telescope.

Skywatcher 16 inch Orion truss

Bob bought this scope in about 2017. He has been unable to use it for the last few years because he has had difficulty walking. It came with eyepieces as included. It has instructions and Bob's instructions for his observatory. It has a shroud and a lasermate sight. The cover for the top is missing.

Eyepeices

These are some of Bobbie's eye pieces. I have kept some and given some to his kids.

Bob also had some filters as he was into astrophotography. I haven't gone through that box yet.

Mirror

Bob also has his 17.5-inch mirror. He bought a telescope back in 1986, and over time, the outer box degraded. He kept the mirror.
It has a bit of dust on it.
Not sure what it is worth.

Hello Helen.

Please accept my condolences.

The best advise is to contact ASSA, the Astronomical Society of South Australia.

info@assa.org.au
0401 702 772 (General Enquiries)

As they are local I'm sure they could advise you personally.

Judging by your equipment descriptions, I would be surprised if your husband wasn't a member already.

Cheers.
